Flat Nose — How a Low Bridge Is Raised with Rhinoplasty in Korea
A flat nose usually means a low or narrow bridge that leaves the face looking flat from the front. At VG Plastic Surgery this is consulted as rhinoplasty to raise the bridge — planned together with a board-certified ENT specialist on staff, so breathing is checked in the same plan, and never taken beyond a height your own nasal structure can safely support.
Shape and breathing, inside the same plan
- A board-certified ENT specialist is on staff. A deviated septum or a narrow nasal valve is assessed inside the same surgical plan as the shape — not referred out once the operation is over.
- A 3D CT unit is in the clinic, and the ENT specialist examines the inside of the nose with an endoscope.
- We do not raise the bridge beyond what your own nasal structure can safely support.
An implant designed from your scan
The silicone implant (Fit-Me) is designed from your own measurements — bridge height, the angle the profile runs at, the width of the nasal dorsum — and, as the manufacturer describes it, made by 3D printer rather than carved by hand in the operating room.
What the operation involves
Recovery varies by individual. Plan your stay so that stitch removal and the follow-up happen before you fly.
- Operating time: 1–3 hours
- Anesthesia: sedation or general anesthesia
- Admission: usually not required (1 day advised for revision)
- Stitch removal: 5–7 days after surgery
- Recovery: 7–14 days
When we ask you to wait
- An active sinus or nasal infection — we treat it first and reconsult afterwards
- You cannot stop smoking around the operation — rib cartilage and revision cases heal notably worse
- Adolescence, before facial growth is complete
How the cost is quoted
There is no price list on this page. Two people asking for the same rhinoplasty can need a different technique and a different amount of time under anesthesia, so one published figure would have to be revised the moment we examined you. Instead, the quote comes in writing, in this order:
- 1Send photographs — Your face from the front, the side and looking upward, plus a photo of the look you are hoping for — through the consultation form.
- 2Photo review by the surgeon — Not with a salesperson. The surgeon tells you what is possible, what is not, and what they would plan.
- 3Written quote — Itemised, in your language, with what is included and what is not. Valid for a stated period.
- 4In-person examination on arrival — If the examination changes the plan, we tell you before surgery, not after. You can still decline.
Questions about a flat nose
How much higher can my bridge go?
Only as high as your own nasal structure can safely support — we do not go beyond that. How much change is realistic is judged from your photos and the in-person examination, and results vary by individual.
My nose also blocks on one side. Can that be checked too?
Yes. A board-certified ENT specialist on staff assesses a deviated septum or a narrow nasal valve inside the same surgical plan as the shape.
What kind of implant is used?
A silicone implant (Fit-Me) designed from your own measurements; the manufacturer makes it by 3D printer, rather than an off-the-shelf shape carved in the operating room.
How long should I stay in Korea?
Stitches come out 5–7 days after surgery and recovery takes about 7–14 days. Plan your dates around stitch removal and the follow-up; the exact number comes with your quote.
How much does it cost?
We do not publish a price list. The surgeon reviews your photos, plans the operation and sends an itemised written quote showing what is included and what is not.
Start with a free photo quote
Send your face from the front, the side and looking upward, plus a photo of the nose you are hoping for. The surgeon reviews them and replies with a plan and a written quote.
Surgical outcomes, recovery and cost vary between individuals. Nothing on this page is a guarantee of a specific result, and no quote is final until a surgeon has examined you in person.
