Eyes look sleepy because the muscle that lifts the lid works weakly — not because of the crease. This tightens that muscle through three small punctures, so the eye opens wider without a cut line. Swelling settles quickly, which is why it fits the recovery window you chose.

A crease is formed by fixing the lid to the tissue beneath through tiny openings rather than a full incision. The line reads softer, the swelling comes down fast, and it can be revised later more easily than a cut crease.

The fold covering the inner corner is opened, so the eye reads longer and the distance between the eyes looks shorter. It is almost always combined with a crease procedure, because on its own it changes proportion but not lid shape.

The fat bulging under the eye is not removed but moved down into the hollow below it, filling the dark groove instead of leaving an empty one. That is why removing the fat alone often makes people look older, not younger.

Loose upper-lid skin is removed along the natural crease, so the lid stops resting on the lashes and the eye opens again. For many patients this is as much a functional operation as an aesthetic one.

The lifting muscle is adjusted directly through the lid crease. It is more precise and holds better than the non-incision route, and it is what we choose when the lid is heavy or the muscle is clearly weak. The trade-off is a longer, more visible swelling period.

The crease is made through a full incision, so excess skin and fat can be removed at the same time. This is the durable choice for thick lids or when skin has to come off — and it genuinely needs two weeks.

Skin as well as fat is addressed, through an incision just under the lash line. It is the right call when the skin itself has loosened — and it is the reason this needs more recovery than repositioning alone.

A second operation works with scar tissue, an existing crease line and whatever the first surgery changed. We plan it from your photographs and, ideally, your previous records — and we say plainly when the safest answer is to leave it alone.
