Arm Liposuction Korea — Upper-Arm Fat, Loose Skin and How Long to Stay

Arm liposuction in Korea removes fat from the upper arm — mostly the fullness at the back — through two small entry points. At VG Plastic Surgery it is the body contouring area with the shortest recovery, but liposuction does not tighten loose skin on its own, and the surgeon will tell you if skin, not fat, is the real issue.

Who arm liposuction suits

  • Your weight is in a normal range but fullness remains at the back of the upper arm
  • You can wear the compression garment for about two weeks
  • The skin has enough elasticity to settle onto the new contour — checked at the consultation

When we plan something different

  • Weight loss is the goal — liposuction changes shape, not weight
  • Skin elasticity is significantly reduced and suction alone would leave sagging — excision or a lift is discussed alongside
  • You cannot keep to the compression garment and the two-week recovery
  • An uncontrolled cardiovascular or clotting disorder

What the operation and recovery involve

Fat on the upper arm is removed through two small entry points, by a board-certified plastic surgeon. Surgery takes 1–4 hours under sedation or general anesthesia, depending on how many areas are treated.

  • Compression garment: about 2 weeks
  • Stitches out: 7–10 days after surgery
  • Swelling peaks: days 7–14
  • Back to everyday activity: about 2 weeks
  • Final result assessed: 6 months

Days to stay in Korea

Plan to stay at least 10 days, so stitch removal and a final check happen before you fly. After you go home, follow-up continues for three months by photograph review with written replies.

How the cost is quoted

There is no price list on this page. The fee follows the plan — how many areas are treated and how long the operation takes — so one published figure would have to be revised the moment the surgeon reviewed your photos. International patients pay the same surgical fee as Korean patients. The quote comes in writing, in this order:

  1. 1Send photographs — Photos of the area from the front and side, through the consultation form or WhatsApp.
  2. 2Photo review by the surgeon — Not with a salesperson. The surgeon tells you what is possible, what is not, and what they would plan.
  3. 3Written quote — Itemised, in your language, with what is included (anesthesia, interpretation and three months of remote follow-up among them) and what is not.
  4. 4In-person examination on arrival — If the examination changes the plan, we tell you before surgery, not after. You can still decline.

Questions about arm liposuction in Korea

Will arm liposuction tighten loose skin?

No — suction does not tighten skin on its own. Skin elasticity is examined first; where it is significantly reduced, excision or a lift is discussed alongside, and results vary by individual.

How long is recovery after arm liposuction?

Around 14 days before most people are back to everyday activity, with a compression garment worn for about two weeks. Swelling peaks between days 7 and 14, and stitches come out 7–10 days after surgery.

How long should I stay in Korea?

At least 10 days, which covers stitch removal and a final check before you fly.

Is arm liposuction a way to lose weight?

No. It reduces fat cells in a specific area and changes your shape, not your weight.

How much does arm liposuction cost in Korea?

We do not publish a price list. The fee depends on how many areas are treated and the time under anesthesia, and international patients pay the same surgical fee as Korean patients. You receive an itemised written quote after the surgeon reviews your photos.

Start with a free photo quote

Send photos of your upper arms from the back and the side. The surgeon reviews them and replies with whether suction alone will do, plus a written quote.

Surgical outcomes, recovery and cost vary between individuals. Nothing on this page promises a specific result, and no quote is final until a surgeon has examined you in person.

A few photos are enough to start. We'll tell you what is possible, what it would cost, and how many days you would need in Seoul — in English, before you book anything.
