Breast Implants Korea Price: The Five Things That Set Your Quote After Children
No single figure fits everyone. Five things set the quote: implant alone or with a lift, the implant itself, the scan and tests, anesthesia, and your days in Seoul. Foreign patients pay the same surgery fee as Korean patients.

The short answer
Had children, lost volume, and now wondering what implants in Seoul would really cost once the flights and hotel nights are added? There's no single breast implants Korea price that fits everyone, because the figure follows your body and your plan. Five things set it: implant alone or with a lift, the implant itself, the scan and tests, anesthesia, and the days you stay in Seoul.
- Five things set the quote: implant alone or with a lift, the implant, the pre-op scan, anesthesia and your days in Seoul.
- After pregnancy, whether the nipple sits below the breast crease changes the operation more than anything else.
- Foreign patients pay the same surgery fee as Korean patients, and the estimate is given in writing.
- Implants are not lifetime devices, so later imaging and a possible exchange are part of the long-run cost.
- Take the implant details and operative record home with you.
For women in their forties, the first of those moves the number most. If the nipple sits at or below the crease under your breast, an implant adds volume but usually won't lift it, and a lift changes both the operation and the estimate.

Chief Director · Board-certified in Plastic Surgery
Hello, I'm Dr. Im Young Min, Chief Director and board-certified plastic surgeon at VG Plastic Surgery in Gangnam, Seoul.
Three facts here bear directly on what you'll pay and how safe the day is. A breast ultrasound comes first, and the implant and incision are chosen around what it shows. Three board-certified anesthesiologists work here full time, one is dedicated to each operation, and they don't operate. And foreign patients pay the same surgery fee as Korean patients, set out in a written estimate, with a medical interpreter for your language at no extra charge.
If you'd like a starting point, send two photos on WhatsApp, front and side, standing with your arms relaxed, and say how many children you've breastfed. Ask whether your shape looks like a case for an implant alone or an implant with a lift, so the cost you ask about is for the right operation.

What decides the cost of breast implants in Korea?
Five items make up the quote. Each one is something you can ask about by name before you book a flight.

1. Implant alone, implant with a lift, or your own fat
An augmentation with implants alone is one operation through one incision per side. Add a breast lift (mastopexy) and there are more incisions, more time under anesthesia and more to check afterward, sometimes in one operation and sometimes staged. Fat grafting uses a different set of cost drivers altogether: where the fat is taken from, how much is placed, and whether a second session is planned, since only part of grafted fat survives.
2. The implant and the pocket it sits in
Silicone gel or saline, round or shaped, smooth or textured surface, and the size all change the line on the estimate. So does the pocket, above or below the chest muscle, which affects operating time. I don't choose size by cup letter. How much of your own tissue covers the upper chest sets how large an implant can sit there without showing its edges, and I've written about that limit in more detail in why your own tissue sets the size ceiling for implants.
3. The scan and tests before the plan
The ultrasound is part of the plan here, not an add-on. Before general anesthesia, most surgeons also ask for blood tests and a heart tracing. If you're at the age where screening mammograms are recommended at home, have the latest one done before you travel and bring the report; it saves a repeat and gives you a baseline on record.
4. Anesthesia and who watches it
General anesthesia is charged partly by how long it runs, so a lift added to an augmentation adds to this line too. The anesthesiologists here assess underlying conditions in advance, choose the anesthetic approach for each patient, and watch blood pressure, pulse and breathing from the first injection until you're awake. If you take blood pressure tablets or thyroid medication, list them in your first message.
5. Your days in Seoul
Hotel nights, meals and taxis to a check-up are part of the real cost of a trip, even though they never appear on a surgical estimate. Most surgeons want to see the wound at least once before you board a long flight, and sitting still for many hours after surgery raises the risk of clots in the legs. Ask at booking how many days your particular plan needs, then book your return flight around that answer.
The breast implants Korea price you're quoted is these five lines added together for your body. To find out what yours would be, send the two photos on WhatsApp with your height, weight and whether you'd consider a lift, and ask what that plan would cost. The deposit and how you pay are decided after the consultation, so keep that question until you've talked the plan through.
Do foreign patients pay more than Korean patients?
No. The surgery fee for foreign patients is the same as for Korean patients, and the estimate is written down.

A written estimate is only useful if you can read what it covers. Check that it names the operation (augmentation alone, or augmentation with a lift), the implant type and surface, anesthesia, the pre-op scan and tests, and the post-op visits. Ask what happens if the ultrasound on the day changes the plan, for instance a different implant size. The interpreter costs nothing extra, so if English isn't comfortable for medical detail, use that help when the estimate is explained rather than nodding through it.
You can see who works in the breast center, and where each surgeon trained, on VG Plastic Surgery's English site before you decide to fly.
Will my body after children need more than an implant?
In short, this is the question that matters most for the cost, and it's about anatomy rather than budget. Pregnancy and breastfeeding stretch the skin and shrink the gland underneath. The upper half of the breast empties first, and the nipple often drifts toward the crease. An implant fills the empty upper half well. It does very little to raise a nipple that has dropped.
Say you're 45, you breastfed two children, and your bra size barely changed, but the upper half looks hollow and the nipple sits level with the crease. That's a borderline case. A moderate implant may be enough, because the volume rounds the breast without needing to lift much. Now say the nipple sits clearly below the crease and points downward. An implant alone would sit high while the breast tissue hangs over it, and a lift belongs in the plan, which changes the incisions, the anesthesia time and the estimate.
If you're not sure which side of that line you're on, a side photo in daylight, standing, without a bra, shows it more clearly than any description. Send it on WhatsApp with your travel dates, and ask whether those dates leave room for the plan your shape points to.

Capsular contracture, rupture and the costs that come later
The first weeks bring swelling, tightness across the chest and soreness that most people manage with tablets; these fade gradually. The longer-term risks are the ones that affect your budget years from now. The US Food and Drug Administration states that breast implants are not lifetime devices, and that the longer you have them, the more likely complications become. Its list includes capsular contracture (scar tissue tightening around the implant), rupture, which can be silent with silicone gel and is found by imaging, and a rare lymphoma called BIA-ALCL, linked more often to textured implants. Some women also report whole-body symptoms they attribute to their implants. Each of these can lead to imaging or another operation, quoted separately.
As general medicine, it's wiser to wait if you're pregnant or still breastfeeding, plan more pregnancies soon, are still losing or gaining weight, smoke and can't stop around surgery, or have a breast lump that hasn't been checked. How your body heals and settles is individual, and the exam decides whether the timing suits you.
Risks and side effects to know
Once home, a fever, one breast swelling far more than the other, spreading redness or fluid from a wound needs a doctor that week, not after the next holiday. Before you leave Seoul, ask for your operative record and the implant's manufacturer, model, size and serial number in writing, and ask how the clinic would like you to get in touch if something comes up. A surgeon at home can't manage an implant they can't identify.
Fitting a breast operation into one trip
People often ask about adding a second procedure to the same trip. Every combined operation adds anesthesia time and recovery load, so the surgeon and anesthesiologist weigh whether one longer session is sensible for your health. The way the estimate is built stays the same for a face: whether a chin implant or moving the bone suits you shows how the method choice changes the figure there too. If your nose is on the list, why thick skin limits the tip is worth reading before you decide what to combine.
The easiest first message is the two photos, front and side, your height and weight, and the dates you could travel, sent on WhatsApp with one question: is an implant alone enough for my shape, or does my plan need a lift, and what would that cost for me? On the day we meet, the ultrasound comes first, and then I look at where your nipple sits against the crease and how much tissue covers your upper chest, because those two things decide the operation and the breast implants Korea price that follows from it.

FAQ
Questions patients ask
Is the quote different for silicone and saline implants?
It can be. The implant type, surface and size are each a line on the estimate. Which type suits you depends on how much tissue covers your upper chest, which the ultrasound and exam show, so ask that the written estimate name the implant type and surface you're being quoted for.
Will replacing or removing the implants years later cost extra?
Yes. Exchange or removal is a separate operation with its own estimate, and removing a tightened capsule adds to it. The FDA states breast implants are not lifetime devices, so budget for periodic imaging and a possible future operation, and keep the implant details from your surgery.
Should I have a mammogram before I travel?
If screening is already recommended for your age at home, have it before the trip and bring the report. It gives you a baseline before implants change how the images look. Afterward, tell every radiographer you have implants, since extra views are often needed.
Is fat grafting to the breast priced the same way as implants?
No. It's driven by how much fat is harvested and from where, how much is placed, and whether a second session is planned. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons also notes that fat injected into the breast can create mammogram findings that radiologists need to tell apart from other changes.
I'm 52. Am I too old for breast implants?
Age alone isn't the limit. Skin quality, breast health, recent screening and your general health matter more. Before general anesthesia, underlying conditions such as blood pressure or heart problems are assessed in advance, so list your medications in your first message.
